چکیده

In this paper, the modeling of a flare gas recovery system (FRGRS) for and utilization stranded associated in Niger Delta region Nigeria was investigated. The is novel modular plant with several integrated units operational features. FGRS modeled recovery, treatment, processing gas. Two cases were considered, one compression treated from to pipeline as sales while other conversion premium transport liquids by gas-to-liquids technology. 25 MMScfd recovered used feedstock it yielded 23.22 MMscfd natural 1.77 Mscfd acid met all specifications. GTL plant, an autothermal reforming method synthesis production H2/CO ratio 2.33 which acceptable Fisher-Tropsch reaction downstream. entire simulation Honeywell Unisim Peng-Robinson fluid property package. Gas-to-liquids (GTL) product produced fed 2350 b/d liquid fuels comprising 1100 diesel 1250 gasoline. Economic analyses revealed thata net present value (NPV) US$ 109.9 million realized NPV US$58.5 quality Thus, products represent increase 87.8% when compared that However, Pay-out time (POT) gaswas 1.16 years, internal rate return (IRR) 86% profit-per-dollar invested 16.18. Furthermore, pay-out sale 5.29 18.3% 2.78. project showed may be sold outright (as gas) if market available absence ready gas, could converted are easier store have greater potentials long run.

Exergy Recovery in Gas Pressure Compression Stations (GPCSs)

The exergy analysis is a proper method for performance evaluation of industrial systems. A generic and detailed analysis of the GPCSs on the second gas pipeline of Iran  is made by the means of exergy. The two main improvement measures of fuel pre-heating and steam injection technologies are presented for the current conventional stations. Steady state equations regarding the second law of ther...

Improvement of Overall Efficiency in the Gas Transmission Networks: Employing Energy Recovery Systems

This study mainly focuses on enhancing the overall efficiency of gas transmission networks. The authors developed a model with detailed characteristics of compressor and pressure reduction stations. Following this, they suggested three different systems with gas turbine including: organic rankine cycle (ORC), air bottoming cycle (ABC), and ABC along with steam injection (SI-ABC). In addition, u...

Gas Flaring and Venting Associated with Petroleum Exploration and Production in the Nigeria’s Niger Delta

Global flaring and venting of petroleum–associated gas is a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions and airborne contaminants that has proven difficult to mitigate over the years. In the petroleum industry, poor efficiency in the flare systems often result in incomplete combustion which produces a variety of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and i...
